蘋果公司今天改版旗下新聞服務，推出新應用程式「News」，正面迎戰臉書。
英國「衛報」（The Guardian）報導，包含「衛報」、美國體育頻道ESPN、「紐約時報」（The New YorkTimes）、「每日郵報」（Daily Mail）等媒體，將針對這項新服務量身打造內容。「News」服務將取代蘋果目前的新聞app「書報攤」（Newsstand）。
蘋果產品行銷副總普萊斯考特（Susan Prescott）在全球開發人員大會（WWDC）上表示，這項服務可以追蹤超過百萬個主題，還能讓讀者追蹤所有最愛的新聞來源，並透過查詢來發現新的媒體來源。
